WHAT IS DATA CENTER COLOCATION?
Colocation refers to renting space in an external data centre for an institution’s Information technology infrastructure. This equipment, housed in the provider’s premises, can be used for disaster recovery or for cloud services. It is physically housed outside the entity’s premises, and thus co-located at the provider’s site.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
At Ankabut, colocation means that servers, storage, space, cooling, power and bandwidth can be obtained from us and made available at extremely competitive pricing to member institutions in our state-of-the-art data centre.

A flat fee is charged by Ankabut and in exchange, users avoid the high hardware and other costs of having their own data centre. In addition, they greatly reduce the heavy operational cost of maintaining, staffing and supporting their own data centre activities. In addition to reducing operational and capital expenditures, member clients can enjoy a flexible and affordable bandwidth, since colocation at Ankabut can make bandwidth available on an as-needed basis on a flexible pricing model.
